Welcome to part three of this series where we look at the position with the most extended offers, WR. Unlike with QB and RB there will be quite a lot of players in tier 1 this time because UW has not only offered so many, but they are in the thick of it for so many top guys.

As a reminder, prospects can fall into four tiers:

Committed: Just as the name implies, these are prospects that have already committed to other schools and the staff is no longer actively recruiting them.

Tier 1: Would accept their offer no matter when they are ready to commit. Reserved for the prospects at the very top of their board.

Tier 2: Prospects they are actively recruiting and would really like to have. If they were forced to choose between a prospect in tier 1 and 2 they would select tier 1, but tier 2 are very talented players who UW would have a good shot at.

Tier 3: Prospects that UW are not seriously in the running for or they are still evaluating more than actively recruiting.

Demare Dezeurn (Pacific Palisades, CA) National Rank: 133 Position Rank: 19 Committed to Oklahoma

Dezeurn is lightning fast both on the track and the football field, running a 10.32 100M time.

Hakim Frampton (Little Rock, AR) Position Rank: 30* (Rated as an athlete by 247) Committed to Texas A&M

It is one thing to be fast, but to keep that speed through your change in direction is a rare ability that Frampton possesses.

Wesley Winn (Boca Raton, FL) Position Rank: 63* (Rated as an athlete by 247) Committed to Boston College

A small speedster, Winn was on my radar when I was watching Chris Lawson highlights when they were at Archbishop Riordan together. He may be small, but he is lightning fast and quick.

Easton Royal (New Orleans, LA) National Rank: 24 Position Rank: 4

Royal has impressive speed for sure, but what impressed me most about him is his advanced release skills at the line and route running to get open. Being a five star receiver he will have his choice of school, but likes Georgia, LSU, Miami, Oregon, and USC among other at this early stage.

Jamarin Simmons (Tallahassee, FL) National Rank: 62 Position Rank: 8

It is tough to imagine many corners can cover Simmons with the speed that he possesses. He’s wiry, but he is still elite at jump balls at only 5’11. He is favoring Clemson, Florida, FSU, and Miami in the early stages of his recruitment.

Julius Jones (Fort Lauderdale, FL) National Rank: 69 Position Rank: 10

The son of Julius Jones and nephew of Thomas Jones, Jones is a very explosive and sudden receiver. He is good at getting open using his speed as well as his great running. ND is where his father played and they appear to be an early leader so far. He is also liking Florida and FSU early.

Quentin Burrell (Chicago, IL) National Rank: 90 Position Rank: 12

Burrell is great at using his big 6’3 frame to win contested catches, but he is also elite with his double moves to get open during route running. He is considered a very heavy ND lean.

Julian Caldwell (Argyle, TX) National Rank: 104 Position Rank: 15

While Caldwell is indeed very fast, it is his football IQ that is most impressive to me. He is so smart with the way that he runs his routes and is also good during broken plays.

Trenton Yancey (Duncanville, TX) National Rank: 173 Position Rank: 25

A nimble and speedy receiver, Yancey always looks like the fastest player on the field. While he has track speed, he is also football fast as well. A number of national schools are after him and Notre Dame, Oklahoma Texas, and Texas A&M among others appear to be doing well in the early stages.

Damani Warren (Las Vegas, NV) Position Rank: 35

Warren is 6’4 210 Lbs. and he sure knows it and plays like it. He is already very advanced at using his size and strength to his advantage while also having plus athleticism as well. Warren appears to be favoring Alabama, Oregon, Texas A&M, and USC at this time.

Isaiah Alvarez (Ramsey, NJ) Position Rank: 57

Alvarez can hurt defenses in a number of different ways because he can lineup at any receiver spot. In the slot he can carve up the middle of the field and on the outside, he is fast enough to beat helping safeties. Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse, and West Virginia are all schools standing out early for Alvarez.

Bryan Porter (Oradell, NJ) Position Rank: 58

He does his best work with the ball in his hands in open space, Porter is very quick and good at making guys miss. Local Rutgers is doing everything they can to keep him home, but other B1G 10 schools like Michigan, Ohio St., and Penn St. are heavily after him too.

Rob Larson (Folsom, CA) Position Rank: 62

One of the most complete skillsets I have seen on film for a HS receiver, Larson can do it all. Win contested catches, beat press coverage, run excellent routes, and shows a high football IQ. Notre Dame appears to be leading the charge for Larson’s recruitment, but schools like Cal and Utah are also doing well early.

Gianni Haynes (Mission Hills, CA) Position Rank: 77

Haynes has speed for days both straight line as well as short area bursts of quickness as well. His recruitment is still in its infancy and he will likely receive quite a few more offers once his full junior film is finished.

Darion Moseley (Alabaster, AL) Position Rank: N/A

Some players play big, but not strong. Not Moseley, he strength is unmatched. He is regularly dragging defenders for additional yards and rarely goes down after one hit. While his offer list doesn’t fully reflect it yet, he has shown a strong desire to stay closer to home.

Zakai Murphy (Ramsey, NJ) Position Rank: N/A

Murphy appears to be most effective in the slot as he slices and dices defenses in the middle of the field. He was incredibly high on Penn State before Franklin was let go, but it would be easy to envision him still leaning towards them assuming they make a good hire.

Hendrix Hill (New Orleans, LA) Position Rank: N/A

The son of former first round pick Eric Hill, Hendrix blazed his own trail by playing receiver instead of LB like his dad. While he may not play defense, he appears to have inherited his dad’s toughness and it is on display as he shows no fear catching passes with defenders waiting to hit him right afterwards. Baylor and UW have offered already, but he is likely heavily on the radar of many other schools waiting to see his junior film.

James Bethea (Ocala, FL) Position Rank: N/A

When a receiver’s highlight tape starts with run blocking, that is usually a good sign of things to come. Bethea has that attitude you love in your receivers to go along with a robust skillset. With offers including Alabama, Georgia, and Oklahoma among many others, it will likely take some time for Bethea to sort through them all.

Bode Sparrow (Kaysville, UT) National Rank: 72 Position Rank: 5* (Rated as an athlete by 247)

Sparrow could be the best two way player out west for his class, but most schools envision him as a receiver. With some of the jaw dropping catches he makes, it would be a shame to waste those hands as a safety. He has made some visits during the season to Tennessee and Oklahoma, but UW has been pushing to try and get him on campus.

Tycen Johnson (Temecula, CA) Position Rank: 55

While Johnson is indeed fast, strong, and has great hands, it is his release that has me most impressed while watching his film. It is still early in Johnson’s recruitment, but keep an eye on what his QB, Dane Weber, does because they could be a package deal.

Eli Woodard (Temecula, CA) Position Rank: 67

Woodard has always been fast, but his explosiveness has really improved from last season. USC appears to be the early favorite here.

Donovan McNabb Jr. (Phoenix, AZ) Position Rank: 73

While he may not be built like his dad, McNabb Jr. is a playmaker in his own right. Sudden and moving with intention, he beats defenders down the field and in open space. Arizona, Arizona St., Syracuse, and UW are some schools involved early in his recruitment.

Delontay Williams (Spring Valley, CA) Position Rank: 88

Doing arguably his best work in the slot, Williams has an uncanny ability to get behind opposing defenses. Williams has been racking up some major offers including Georgia, Miami, and Michigan among many others. He will certainly take his time sorting through his dozens of offers.

Julian Cromartie (The Woodlands, TX) Position Rank: 91

The son of NFL star Antonio Cromartie, Julian plays on the opposite side of the ball where he always seems to know how to exploit opposing defenders. UW is doing very well with him, but it could be very difficult keeping him away from his dad’s alma mater, FSU.

Travon Garrison (La Verne, CA) Position Rank: 102

Garrison’s greatest weapon is his short area burst and quickness. He can get to his stop speed in a hurry while also having great elusiveness after the catch. His recruiting is still in his infancy with UW being the first of his three offers back in April.

Sean Roebuck (Marana, AZ) Position Rank: 115

The brother of breakout true freshman receiver for the Huskies, Sean had to pay his dues behind his brother for the past couple of years before being more prominently featured. He is smaller, but appears to have a higher top end speed than his brother. If UW really wants him, they should easily get him.

Jai Jones (Chandler, AZ) Position Rank: 29* (Rated as an athlete by 247)

Jones has made a huge leap of noticeable improvement from his sophomore to his junior season and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him be a four star by the time the dust settles. With such big improvement, I expect more offers to come in as well. Right now Arizona, Arizona St., and UW are recruiting him exceptionally hard.

Quentin Hale (Los Angeles, CA) National Rank: 54 Position Rank: 7

Despite his 6’3 height, Hale is silky smooth as a route runner in addition to using his size to win contested catches. USC is making a lot of noise in his recruitment right now, but schools like Oklahoma, Oregon, and UW are still after him heavily. UW was his first P4 offer, so that could help in their recruitment.

Osani Gayles (Bradenton, FL) National Rank: 66 Position Rank: 9

Gayles is absolutely electric with the ball in his hands. He has that wiggle that seems to make guys miss in open space and is also a plus returner. Now at IMG academy, Gayles is originally from California and is seriously considering a return to the West Coast to play in college. Oregon, USC and UW are doing very well with him as well as other schools such as Florida, Notre Dame, and Penn St.

Nico Bland (Orange, CA) National Rank: 95 Position Rank: 13

A smart and deceptive route runner, Bland can lull defenders into a false sense of security before hitting another gear and leaving them in his dust to get wide open. He also has quick feet and short area burst to go along with a great top end speed. Arizona State, USC, and UW appear to be doing quite well in the early stages of Bland’s recruitment.

Tre Moore (Pflugerville, TX) National Rank: 160 Position Rank: 23

Big, strong, and fast, Moore will remind Husky fans of Denzel Boston except Moore is more developed physically at the same stage that Boston was in high school. Moore is already quite the physical specimen at 6’3 200 Lbs. On the recruiting front, Moore had a monster junior campaign and has been racking up top offers and taking lots of gameday visits, including a trip to UW when they hosted Illinois. Other schools that are doing well with him early include Michigan, Texas, and Texas A&M among many others.

Zion White (Bradenton, FL) National Rank: 162 Position Rank: 24

When you are being compared to top 10 NFL selections, that is usually a very good sign. White has drawn comparisons to former Arizona star WR Tetairoa McMillan due to his size, body control, and overall talent. White is originally from Hawaii, but played this past season at IMG Academy in Florida. White is certainly open to a national recruitment, but given that Fisch knows first hand how talented McMillan was, he would love to add another iteration of him to his team.

Dontay Tyson (Peoria, AZ) National Rank: 238 Position Rank: 31

Watching his film, it is tough to tell Tyson’s size. Some plays he looks like he is 5’9 165 Lbs. by how fast he is taking screens to the house and on other plays he looks 6’3 230 Lbs. from the way he dominates 50/50 balls. His actually listing is 6’1 190 Lbs. and is a rare blend of speed, power, and attitude you want from your top receiver. Arizona and Oregon are doing especially well with him early, but other schools like Nebraska, Ohio State, Tennessee, and UW among others are not backing off either.

Ty Johnson (Irvine, CA) Position Rank: 32

A long strider, Johnson isn’t a close area quickness receiver, but with his effective route running and top end speed he gets open easily and is nearly impossible to catch. Arizona, Arizona St., Georgia, Michigan, and UW are some of his top schools in the early stages of his recruitment.

Zerek Sidney (Goodyear, AZ) Position Rank: 34

Sidney is a receiver who is built to be a fan favorite. He isn’t a speedster, but he is a silky smooth route runner who is a straight up dawg when it comes to jump balls and his attitude on the field in general. Arizona St., Oklahoma, USC, and UW appear to be his early leaders right now.

Braylon Pope (Sumner, WA) Position Rank: 42

A talented bigger receiver, Pope is a smooth route runner who uses his size to win contested catches. As he continues to improve, he is going to be a force to be reckoned with for years to come. UW seems to be all in on Pope (as they should be) and he seems to be reciprocating with how he feels about the local school. The Huskies will still need to fend off regional powers like Oregon and USC as well as national presences like Tennessee if they want to keep him home.

J’Isaiah Mitchell (Puyallup, WA) Position Rank: 50* (Rated as an athlete by 247)

A 6’4 WR from Puyallup HS, where have Husky fans heard that before? While him and Denzel Boston don’t play exactly alike, they both know how to use their size to their advantage. Mitchell also embraces his size when it comes to run blocking, which is underrated in HS receivers. UW is blessed to have not one, but two 6’3+ receivers in their backyard in the 2027 class. They appear to be on Mitchell as well and if all goes well he will be following in Boston’s footsteps to UW.
